A company-wide earthquake evacuation drill was conducted based on a 5.0 magnitude (Richter Scale) scenario as reported by MET Malaysia for the Ulu Tiram area at the JPG facility to test the effectiveness of their emergency response plan. This exercise aims to enhance their emergency preparedness and response in the event of an actual earthquake. All employees are required to participate and follow instructions from the Area Warden throughout the simulation. The simulation, involving employees, achieved a full evacuation in 6 minutes and 15 seconds. While the evacuation was successful and orderly, the drill identified some key areas for improvement: The number of people still not evacuating their facility after the first and second alarm was ringing, some of the employees got into a minor accidents, and most of the employees not taking it seriously.
